1)<\/strong> Sloane Simon is 16 years old and is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bonus Fact: She’d just joined her high school cheer team when the audition for Idol<\/em> rolled around! She’s a sophomore at Fox Chapel High School. She did a Zoom audition for producers just minutes before her first home football game. She’s even in her cheer uniform in promotional photos! Talk about dedication. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2)<\/strong> Sloane told the Jewish Chronicle<\/a><\/em> that auditioning was both “exhilarating and terrifying.” She performed an original song called “Laurel Canyon” and “Brand New Key” by Melanie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
3)<\/strong> She’s been playing guitar since she was 9. At age 13, Sloane was performing at venues like Hollywood’s legendary Viper Room. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
