Unfortunately Murphy didn\u2019t make it to the top 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update on 3\/22\/21<\/strong>: Murphy was paired up with Lizzy O’Very and they sang “A Different Breed.” Murphy followed Lizzy’s lead by going out on the stage barefoot. He even jumped up and down after they sang their song. Murphy and Lizzy O’Very moved on to the next level of American Idol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Murphy is a street musician living in Seattle, Washington. He will play his guitar on the streets singing as well to those who are walking by. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is Murphy’s Street music name?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
He has a street music nickname called “Blind Boy.” He spent many days performing on the street in places like the Inner Harbor. One day he had a number of people drop off money by him to where he made $60. He was so excited to have that money and if someone asked for a dollar, he had it to give. 1) His full name is Philip Murphy Wiggins. He goes by Murphy when performing. Other times, he’ll use the name “Blind Boy.” That’s what his IG handle is: @BlindBoyMusic<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2) He grew up in Baltimore, Maryland<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
