American Idol<\/a><\/em> continues its audition process on Feb. 28. One new contestant who will take the stage is Hunter Metts. We’ve got five facts on the American Idol<\/em> hopeful below. So, keep reading to learn more about Hunter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update on 4\/18\/21:<\/strong> Hunter Metts sang “Hello” for the Oscar night of American Idol and accidentally mixed up the words at the end of the song which visibly had him shaken up. The judges praised his performance. Then there was a surprise, going to the video of his family, there was a familiar face, Graham DeFranco<\/a> was cheering Hunter on from the family couch! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunter made it to the Top 9 of American Idol!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update on 4\/12\/21:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunter Metts was voted in by America for the Top 12 of American Idol. He sang “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update on 3\/29\/21:<\/strong> Hunter performed “July” by Noah Cyrus. Hunter made it to the top 24!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update 3\/21\/21: <\/strong> Hunter performed out on the stage with his guitar. He left his job as a software developer to pursue music. He moved on to the Hollywood duets week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Hunter lives in Nashville, Tennessee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) He’s an accomplished singer-songwriter. His first song released last month, and his second came out Feb. 12<\/a>. He’s got a sort of indie-country vibe going on. If you look on Apple Music, his songs are released under the “Folk” genre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) In addition to singing, Hunter plays the guitar. He’s had a love for music since he was a little boy. Check out a video of his musical journey below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
