4 years ago I decided to take a detour from \u201cthe plan\u201d and run for Miss Rodeo Arkansas. Somehow it all worked out, and I had the most amazing year full of opportunity, a photo in Vogue, new friendships, lots of national anthem singing, and a huge amount of personal growth.
