Grypmat is the innovative tool accessory that gives everyone from mechanical workers and do-it-yourselfers a way to keep their equipment handy. It has been so successful that it was featured on ABC’s hit entrepreneurial show, Shark Tank. Keep reading for more details and an update on Grypmat.

1) Tom Burden launched the idea for Grypmat in 2013. The Ohio native has been an aircraft mechanic since 2008, according to his LinkedIn profile. So, it makes sense that he wanted an accessory that could hold its own with intense equipment. The goal of the Grypmat is to solve the issue of tools sliding around, therefore keeping them safe and securely in place.

2) Tom nabbed a deal with not one, but three sharks! He secured a deal with Mark Cuban, Lori Grenier, and Richard Branson. The 3 sharks are still invested today, and it’s clear why: since their deal, sales have been through the roof! Tom has since had to expand his line to include the Grypmat Plus, which has the extra space to hold a drink while you’re working. How neat!
