Katie Kadan auditioned for NBC’s The Voice over the summer of 2019 and was on the first airing of the show on September 23rd. She quickly became a favorite with her outstanding presence and powerhouse voice. Her signature look of dark rimmed glasses and vibrant colored clothing further sets her apart in this crazy competition known as “NBC’s The Voice.” As a member of “Team Legend” #TeamLegend, she is fighting to win it all. We think it’s a good idea to get to know her even better.
1. She comes from Chicago and is a soul singer and songwriter but loves country music
2. Katie comes from a family of musicians. Her mom plays the guitar and sings along with a number of other relatives which you can see in the video below.
3. She plays the piano and is a vocal teacher. She was actually classically trained in piano and voice (according to her official Facebook page). Take a look at her duet of “Part of Your World” with her student Celia Porter who is only 14.
4. She once appeared on Fox 32 news in Chicago playing the keyboard and singing her own original song “Take Me to the River”
5. Her musical vision expands based on her musical jams with her two cousins Ray and Joshua along with her sister Sarah.
