Update on Yono Clip from Shark Tank

Here is an update on Yono Clip which originally aired on Shark Tank in March of 2021 is a device which is used to keep germs off of bags and jackets.  Yono stands for “you only need one.”  The product is actually a suction hook with a hook that can stick to most surfaces.  The hook is where you can hang your items.  When the clip is suctioned it can hold almost 15 pounds.

Their first round of investments came from a Kickstarter Campaign which raised almost $10K in 2020.

What type of investment did Yono Clip want?

The co-founders, Bob and Michael entered the tank looking for $150K for 15% of their business.

Did Yono Clip get a deal?

Walking in with Yono Clip, the co-founders were actually quite early in the game without any revenue to show since they were still thinking of a way to best manufacture the product in addition to finding ways to drive down the cost.

Daymond John actually offered $150K for 30% which was double the equity they originally wanted. They accepted the offer from Daymond John.

Yono Clip out in the world.

Unfortunately the Yono Clip did not get very good reviews. According to Sharktankshopper.com the product had 1.33 stars with 33 reviews.

Is the Yono Clip on Amazon?

If you are trying to find the YONO Clip on Amazon, you won’t have any luck and will most likely see results for yo-yos.

The Yono Clip website is quite simple and they immediately tout their appearance on Shark Tank at the top of their site. You can see the product in three different colors, black, red, and pink.

Problems with Yono Clip?

It appears the Yono Clip may have had some complaints as they post on the footer of their site, “YONO Clip is not responsible for any damages of property.”

In addition it says, “all orders are non-refundable.”

This spells some trouble for the company in our eyes.

The Yono clip has 1.5K followers on Instagram. The last post they made was on July 9, 2021.

Facebook has 2.7K followers and their most recent post was on February 22, 2021 where the company representative said, “We appreciate everyone’s support. Trust us, we are shipping ’em out as fast as possible. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to fulfill every order.”

While the product is still offered for sale on the website, it doesn’t look like Yono Clip is thriving but instead performing poorly. We hope they can turn it around!
