The Voice is back and better than ever this week. One new contestant taking the stage for season 20 is Tyler Kohrs. We’ve got five facts on The Voice hopeful below. So, keep reading to learn more about Tyler.
1) According to his Instagram bio, Tyler is a country music artist. He’s also a talented piano player. Check out his cover of a Kelly Clarkson song below:
2) Aside from singing, Tyler has a Bachelor of Science degree in social work. He graduated from Greenville University in 2016, according to his LinkedIn.
3) He’s been featured in a ton of Nashville showcases at the Commodore Grille.
4) According to his Instagram, half of his musical auditions have been for The Voice. Tyler wrote that he’s auditioned over 80 times, with at least 40 of those being for the NBC show. It’s finally paid off for him though! Check out his full length post below:
5) Tyler’s met up and collaborated with a couple of season 1 The Voice artists. Jared Blake made it to Top 4 on #TeamBlake (Blake Shelton) in season 1. Patrick Thomas made it to the Top 16 during season 1. Tyler’s teamed up with both singers recently for a Nashville showcase. He said they’re both lovely people, and he’s learned a lot under their mentorship.
