Twist It Up is the unique hair tool that debuted on Shark Tank in season 10. It’s a comb made specifically for afrocentric hair. Since their Shark Tank appearance, CEO Noel Durity struck a deal with not one but two sharks! To see what their business has been up to, keep reading below.
1) Noel came into the tank asking for $225,000 for 15%. That valued his business at 1.5 million.
2) What he walked away with was a deal for the $225K, but for 25%. With that deal came two sharks: Mark Cuban and Daymond John.
3) They’ve secured a patent for their product. Their social media following has also grown exponentially. 38,000 Instagram followers and counting!
4) Twist It Up was recently featured on Byrdie in their article: “13 Best Combs for Men for Every Hair Type and Style.” Their hair comb was ranked “Best for Twists.”
5) Apparently on this week’s Shark Tank, Noel and his team discuss how they went on a nationwide road trip to try and stop knockoffs from popping up in the market. Plus, fans will get to see more on how Mark, Daymond, and Noel worked together to make this business a success.
