Who is Teri Aguiar from Biggest Loser on NBC?

Teri Aguiar is one of the contestants on NBC’s The Biggest Loser. She’s on her way to living a healthier lifestyle, but what else do you know about her? Keep reading below for some facts about Teri!

1) She’s a former beauty queen. Teri won Miss Teen Illinois in 1990, and when she was 26, she won Miss Missouri in 1999. We bet she’s used to competition, which will serve her well in this battle to be the “biggest loser.”

2) Teri is from Columbia, Illinois, and has a job as a flight nurse. If you’re wondering what a flight nurse is, it’s essentially an RN (registered nurse) who is able to deliver life-saving measures and other doctoral assistant duties while onboard an aircraft – e.g: helicopter, plane, etc. That’s what Teri spent her days doing, and she loves her job. 3) Teri is recently divorced, but has two beautiful children, a girl and a boy, who are both in their teens now. Her daughter, Alexa, is a singer, who often posts videos on social media. Teri recently posted a photo of her kids on Instagram, which you can see below:

4) Teri is 47 years old, and her starting weight on the show was 250 pounds. She came to sign up for The Biggest Loser after a former beauty pageant friend reached out to her, and told her about the opportunity. When Teri considered it, she realized that she needed to put herself first, and doing the show would allow her to do just that, according to Women’s Health.

5) As for her other motivations or reasons why she wanted to lose weight? Teri wants to be able to spend more time with her kids. In the Instagram photo a couple spaces above, she captioned the photo with: “So ready to be healthy enough to grab a board and race these guys!!!” She also is done with hiding her body, as that was what she would easily do before.
