2. He is a four-time Scripps Spelling Bee participant
3. Tejas was a 2017 RTD Person of the Year honoree.
4. Tejas and his family are from Henrico County, Virginia.
5. He is multi-lingual. He speaks English fluently and is also studying Russian, French, and Turkish.
6. 2017 was Tejas’s last year as a competitor in the National Scripps Spelling Bee. That was when Tejas was in 8th grade and wrapped up a spelling career which captivated a Richmond region according to Richmond.com.
