Whether you’re a novice, or you’re an expert on the water, everyone could use a buddy to surf the waves with. That’s where Tandem Boogie comes into play. Details on Tandem Boogie
1) Tandem Boogie was invented by John and Manya Clark. The parents wanted to have something so everyone could experience the joy they do with their kids. The family spends ample time on the water: surfing, boogie-boarding, etc. Therefore, they wanted others to have the same opportunity, no matter the skill level.
2) Essentially, it’s an inflatable body board. The unique thing is that it’s 34 inches wide instead of the typical 21. The materials are also military-grade, and element-resistant. So, you won’t have to worry about your board getting corroded or anything like that. Softer, easy-grip handles ensure no slipping or sliding around.
3) Another unique thing is that every single one of the Clark’s are involved in Tandem Boogie LLC. John is in charge of product development and sales; Maya is in charge of manufacturing and operations. College-aged Juliette and Alleanna are CEO and community manager, respectively. The youngest, Lyla, is in high school and runs apparel/merchandise.
4) The sixth “family” member is the OG boogie board creator Tom Morey. He’s offered incomparable advice to the family over the years. He partnered with John and they launched the first-ever Tandem Boogie contest in 2019.
5) Right now, they come in orange and pink, with the classic blue face. There are a couple surfboards too, plus a set of hydro-blade fins. You can shop on Amazon or their website.
