]]>1. Linda graduated with her Bachelor’s of Arts in Management from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA. She graduated cum laude.
2. Before Linda started her venture with Rita’s Italian Ice, she was with the Burger King Company for over 20 years. She actually began flipping burgers at 18 years old. However, she quickly moved up the line. She held position of a company business manager, then franchise business leader role and then Vice President Franchise Operations, Southeast Division before she left in 2013.
3. Linda is currently the President and CEO of Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard since 2017 to the present day. A Philadelphia firefighter, Bob Tumolo started the company in 1984 with his mother’s water ice recipe. He started by selling four flavors of ice on his porch. It was so popular, the brand just began to grow exponentially.
4. Rita’s Italian Ice has opened more franchises in 2020 than they ever have, according to the CEO Linda Chadwick. Curious what it takes to open one of these franchises?

5. When she was in her 40’s, Linda became a single mom. She had to juggle raising two kids and balance her career at the same time. She admits it was “hard” but when she was told she couldn’t do it, it made her want to prove her naysayers wrong.
Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard will be featured on season 11 of CBS’s Undercover Boss. Chadwick told the Biz Journal she is going undercover in her franchises to, “see how her new initiatives are working and to help franchisees become more profitable.”

]]>1) Omar Soliman is the CEO of College Hunks Hauling. He runs the company with his friend and business partner, Nick Friedman. They’ve been business partners for over 15 years now.
2) Omar met Nick in high school, “in detention of all places,” he revealed in a preview clip. That’s where they became friends. The duo ran onto the football field, and apparently got into a scuffle with the opposing team!
3) According to Omar, it was technically his mother’s idea for the company – including the name! His mom had an old cargo van, and she told them to take it so they could move things to earn money. She said “you guys could be, like, the college hunks who haul junk.” And Omar thought that was a pretty good name, so it stuck.
4) What started with fliers around their neighborhood is now a million-dollar business. Speaking of business, Omar attended the University of Miami’s School of Business, earning his bachelors in business management in 2004. According to his LinkedIn, he’s also the CEO of Trash Butler.
5) He and his wife Stacy Soliman have 2 kids together. You can see them all together in this photo below:

]]>1) Nick Friedman is the President of College Hunks Hauling Junk. He co-founded the company with his friend, Omar Soliman, who will also be on the Undercover Boss episode. The two have been friends since high school, and business partners since college.
2) According to Nick, the goal of College Hunks Hauling Junk is to provide “a stress-free moving or junk removal experience” that makes their lives easier. The “hunks” in College Hunks Hauling actually stands for “honest, uniformed, nice, knowledgeable service.”
3) In a preview clip for tonight’s all-new episode, it’s apparently been 15 years since Nick’s moved a piece of furniture College Hunks style! It’s “ten times harder than the boardroom,” he revealed in the clip. Check it out below:
4) Fun fact? Nick’s actually met Shark Tank‘s Mark Cuban! He met Mark in California last August. And yes, Nick posted the selfie to Instagram. He wrote: “@mcuban #Alwaysbranding #nba #mavericks #entrepreneur” Apparently, he appeared on the series premiere episode of Shark Tank too.
5) In addition to running a company that brings in annual revenues of $200 million, Nick’s verified on Instagram. He has over 32K followers. He often posts about his business, or his family (he has a wife and daughter).
