1. Her Pageant Past

Maurissa competed in Miss Teen USA beauty pageants when she was younger, and was even crowned Miss Teen Montana. Unfortunately, it led to body image issues, even though she was average sized for a teenage girl.

2. How She is Now

Maurissa didn’t let her issues keep her down though. After ending her relationship with her high school BF, she moved to Atlanta where she upped her fitness game. She managed to lose 80 pounds, and isn’t slowing down anytime soon!

3. She’s a No Nonsense Girl

She is looking for someone who is ready to commit, as Maurissa has always been one to want marriage. She thought she was going to marry her high school sweetheart, but the two didn’t work out. Maybe Peter will the one for her? If so, she plans on doing whatever it takes to win him over!

4. She’s Young but Successful

Maurissa may only be 23, but she has a fulfilling job as a patient care coordinator in Georgia.

5. Her New Pet

Maurissa got a puppy for Christmas this year! She captioned an Instagram photo with: Everyone, say hi to Nola. How adorable are they?
