The post Who is Anthony Gignac from HBO’s Generation Hustle? appeared first on The Reality TV.
]]>1) Anthony Gignac was originally born in Columbia. His adoptive parents raised him in Michigan. Growing up, he developed an appreciation for the finer things in life. So, this desire led him to do some crazy things to get what he wanted.
2) One of those crazy things was to impersonate a Saudi Arabian Prince. According to Forbes, this fake identity ran its course for over 3 decades. His alias was Sultan Bin Khalid Al-Saud. Anthony thought impersonating royalty would get him from “rags to riches” quickly.
3) He was arrested on fraud charges before. But, nothing could ever stick. That is, until 2017 rolled around. That’s when Anthony was arrested; he had charges going back to 1988! He managed to convince people like Fort Lauderdale designer Perla Lichi that his title and status meant something.
4) That charm was how Gignac swindled over 25 international clients, and got millions of dollars from them. He has to pay it all back of course. The luxe lifestyle he was living came to screeching halt. And so did the money train.
5) Anthony’s rise and fall was featured on an episode of American Greed. His episode of Generation Hustle is titled “Prince of Fraud.” The description reads: “Anthony Gignac developed a taste for the finer things – and to get them he assumes the persona of a Saudi Royal prince. Whether flying high with real-estate moguls or convincing banks to extend him lines of credit, Gignac earns his reputation through a combination of wit and bravado… but how long can he sustain the delusion before the authorities catch on?” It’s directed by Jeremiah Crowell.
Tune in to HBO Max’s Generation Hustle on April 22 to see Anthony’s full story.

]]>1) Kyle Sandler blew into Opelika, Alabama. He claimed to be a former Google executive. But, that was a lie. He was simply a con artist. Of course, the people of the Southern town had no idea.
2) He managed to get 1.9 million dollars out of the townspeople. According to AP News, there were more than 50 investors he duped. He formed the Roundhouse as a business incubator. Essentially, Kyle used the funds for his personal finances.
3) One especially tragic thing about Kyle’s scheme was that it roped in a young entrepreneur. Sandler mentored then 13-year-old Taylor Rosenthal. Taylor had an idea for a first-aid vending machine, and Sandler used that idea to gain media attention. Unfortunately, all the “interest” Kyle told Taylor about was fake. Greed got the best of him.
4) At the time the article was written, Kyle was 43. It’s assumed he’s 45 now. He was born in Maryland, and bitten by the business bug early on. He’s known as a “serial entrepreneur.”
5) Kyle’s episode is titled “The Alabama Exit.” Warner Media’s description is: “When self-proclaimed Google alum Kyle Sandler bursts into the tiny town of Opelika, Alabama to launch the Round House business incubator, he promises to turn the town into the “Silicon Valley of the East.” The enchanted residents throw themselves into the project, until a local 14-year-old inventor gains nationwide press for reportedly rejecting a $30 million outside buyout offer. Spooked Round House investors are left wondering: is Kyle who he says he is or were his promises built on lies?” Martha Shane directs.

2) That’s how he made a name for himself. Teejay would rap about his con artist ways: scamming, cashing bad checks, etc. His videos have garnered hundreds of thousands of views. From cat fishing to committing a credit scam, he’d tell you how to do it all.

4) Arbab stated that he spent most of the money he received on personal items, like retail goods. He gambled some of it too, over the course of 3 trips to Las Vegas. He operated his “hedge funds” out of his fraternity house! Court documents state that he raked in a million dollars from his victims.
5) Syed’s episode is titled: “Frat Boy Ponzi.” The description reads: “Shortly after pledging his college fraternity, Midwest math whiz Syed Arbab uses funds raised from fellow students, alumni, and high school friends to start a hedge fund. Flush with cash, Syed becomes a campus legend, until a market crash causes his hedge fund (and life) to implode.
