If you’re always on the go, it might be hard to eat healthy. Well, Simply Good Jars wants to solve that problem. The aim is to make healthy food easily accessible and convenient. Before they debut on Shark Tank, keep reading below for five facts on the company.
Did Simply Good Jars Get a Deal on Shark Tank?
Jared Cannon entered the Shark Tank in March hoping to strike a deal with one of the investors. He started Simply Good Jars with a $1,000 loan. That proved to be one of the best investments for him! Jared struck a deal with the billionaire of the group, Mark Cuban and QVC queen, Lori Greiner. They struck a deal of a $500,000 investment with both sharks!
Details on Simply Good Jars
1) Jared Cannon is the brain behind Simply Good Jars. He attended the Culinary Institute of America in NYC. He’s also worked in hotel business, and for big names like Iron Hill. He got his MBA in 2016 from Temple University Fox School of Business.
2) Jared began his company in 2017. He left his old job behind to focus on this launch full-time. The main objective is to sell healthy meals in jars that can be reused/recycled.
3) Right now, the company has a space in Philadelphia, PA. They just opened up a new research facility in partnership with Rutgers. They are also developing a new product.
4) Currently, they just sell salads There are five kinds: Chicken Quinoa, Heavenly Pesto, Simply Greek, Smoked Salmon, and Southwestern Cobb. You can order them on GoPuff, or find a store. They’re available in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland.
5) Jared has a decent social media following, and their content is enticing. Perhaps that’ll be impressive to the sharks when he goes into the tank. He’s obviously made a name for himself and knows the food industry. Hopefully one of the sharks can help him reach new heights.
