]]> ABC’s Claim to Fame premiered on June 26 for a second season. Cohosts Kevin and Frankie Jonas introduced 12 contestants who are all related to someone famous. Just like last season, they must try to keep their identities secret from the group. The first contestant to be eliminated was Carly Reeves. She is the niece of famed actor Tom Hanks. But, what else do you know about her? We have five fun facts below, including age and occupation. Keep reading to learn more about Carly.

Who is Tom Hanks’ Niece, Carly Reeves?

1) You may be wondering how Carly is related to Tom Hanks. Well, her mother Lily Reeves, is Rita Wilson’s sister. Rita Wilson is Tom Hanks’ wife; they have been married since 1988. In the family photo below, you can see Rita on the far right, and Carly’s mother, Lily, next to her.

2) She was born in 1984. If you go off of the last time she posted about her birthday, then it’s assumed her birthdate is January 25. This makes her 39 years old.

3) Like a lot of people in Hollywood, she wears many hats when it comes to careers. Carly works in real estate and property management, all while acting in commercials, television episodes and films. Did we mention she also does sketch comedy, theatre and is a social media influencer? Check out her work below!

4) Always one to put a funny spin on things, Carly did address her Claim to Fame exit on Instagram, writing: “I know it’s not a good look but I really wanted to play along with the rest of the cast . Hope I made you laugh at least! Until I make you…laugh again.”

The photo shows Carly photoshopped next to the iconic photo of Tom Hanks’ character Forrest Gump sitting on a bench, which was the clue on the show that gave her away.

In addition, Carly went on the Zachary Reality show and said “That’s just classic Carly right there” in reference to her upset about being the first contestant to go home on Claim to Fame.

5) Although she has famous relatives, a lot of people have also said Carly looks like one famous celebrity in particular: Margot Robbie! So much so that she posted a side-by-side comparison on her Instagram.

]]> Well the news is out! Ryan Seacrest will take the crown of host of the 40 year running game show hit Wheel of Fortune as Pat Sajak retires.

Ryan took to Instagram to make the announcement with a photo and text overlay of his message to everyone.

It reads: “I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak. I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them. Pat, I love the way you’ve always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition.

Many people probably don’t know this but one of my first jobs was hosting a little game show called “Click” for Merv Griffin 25 years ago so this is truly a full circle moment for me and I’m grateful to Sony for the opportunity.“

For those curious if Vanna White will continue to turn letters, you are in luck. She will stay on with Ryan. Here’s what he had to say about that:

I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White.

People jumped on this announcement quickly. One of the first was his longtime friend and co-worker, Kris Jenner.

Her response said, “Congratulations!!!!!! 🥳‼🥳❤”

Then Ryan Tedder from One Republic said, “WOWWWWWWWW. Congrats dude. Legendary”

Chris Harrison from The Bachelor fame said “Congratulations my friend!”

Of course Ryan’s radio show’s official Instagram also responded with a clapping hands emoji.

Gretchen Rossi said “Ahhh congrats!!”

Ross Matthews was excited saying “WOOHOO!!!! 👏🏼”

Patty Rodriguez was thrilled with her comment, “RYAN!!!!! 💫💫💫💫”

Other celebs and company pages congratulating Ryan included Robin Arzon, NYC102.7 KIIS FM, USA Today Life, Go to Girlfriend, and Vintage Broncos.

Mind you this was all within the first hour of the post which also had the comment numbers increasing pretty rapidly.

We are excited for Ryan Seacrest as he circles back to his roots as a game show host!

3. How did the pair meet? JT actually walked up and introduced himself to her after a taping of her show in April according to People.com. “He’s a sweetie pie,” she commented about her younger boyfriend, continuing “He’s a positive force that has come into my life right now. Where it leads, who knows?”

4. She kept her relationship with JT away from her close co-stars. “I was so adamant about not letting Simon or Randy [Jackson] or Ryan [Seacrest] know – and that was a good thing,” she said.

5. JT once dated Dancing with the Stars pro, Cheryl Burke. The pair were spotted in public when they attended Mark Ballas’s debut for Kicking Clouds in 2014 in Beverly Hills.

]]> American Idol continues its audition process on Feb. 28. One new contestant who will take the stage is Xavier Washington. We’ve got five facts about the American Idol hopeful below. So, keep reading to learn more about Xavier.

Update on 3/21/21: Xavier was found by Ryan Seacrest studying Chinese. He is actually a student at Yale University. The judges just loved his runs they jumped up after he performed. He along with Grace Kinstler were moved on to the Hollywood Duets week.

1) Xavier graduated from Yale University in 2020.

2) While in college, he traveled with a cappella group, the Whiffenpoofs. He met Mindy Kaling of The Office while on tour!

3) Xavier released his first single called “Never Again” in fall 2019. He’s collaborated with artists on Spotify too.

4) He was on an episode of The Terrell Show last year. It’s a popular YouTube show hosted by Terrell Rice. Xavier free-styled and sang live, earning him mega-publicity.

5) His social media presence is impressive. Xavier has over 38,000 Instagram followers. He’s not verified yet, but perhaps after his Idol debut, he will be!

When she thought she was going to audition in the first rounds for American Idol, she found out those first rounds occurred months prior. Courtney Timmons was upset at missing her chance to be on American Idol Season 3 but when Ryan Seacrest found her at the hotel where the show was auditioning contestants who made it to sing in front of the celebrity judges, everything changed. He asked her “how bad do you want it?” and Timmons said, “More than anything I’ve wanted in the whole world.” Ryan brought her in to audition for the three celebrity judges.
