5 Facts About Romper Jack from Shark Tank

  • by

Romper Jack is a men’s romper company. It debuted on season 13, episode 9 of Shark Tank. Get information below, including their founders and how they got started. Plus find out how they did on the show, and where they are now.

An Update on Romper Jack from Shark Tank

1) Justin Clark and Wyatt Thompson founded the company. The idea originally came about in 2017 when Justin realized a gap in the market. There were no rompers or jumpsuits made for men. So, they created some. Clark and Thompson also went to Wes Daggett and then the trio got to work. Wes did not appear on the show with them though.

2) The duo presented their product to the sharks: men’s rompers and jumpsuits. When they went into the tank, they asked for $200,000 for 5% equity. While the sharks liked their clothing, none were willing to make a deal. It required more cash and the clothing space was already very crowded, which made the panel a little wary.

3) Something that did impress the panel were the numbers. Justin and Wyatt did $900,000 in sales in 2019. In the year prior to Shark Tank, their sales reached $1.1 million direct-to-consumer. With a strong online presence, it’s no wonder their popularity skyrocketed post-show.

4) Even though they did not get a deal, Justin and Wyatt have continued to expand their line. In addition to the fun patterned rompers or colored jumpsuits, there are golf polos and swimwear. Recent drops include tropical looks for summer and textures like green chambray. You can shop on their website.

5) They keep things fun on Instagram, staying current with their main market of the LGBT community – e.g: Pride Month. Although they have Twitter too, they aren’t as active on it. Following them on Instagram is your best bet at finding their newest looks and up-to-date info.
