He reminisces meeting musician, Gary Clark Jr at a club in Austin, Texas. “I met Gary…months before I auditioned for The Voice,” he said. Seeing one of his favorite musicians in person inspired Ricky to go after his dreams. He recalls telling Gary, “I’m trying to do big things.” Little did they both know that was about to happen.

“I put Gary on my dream list of artists I’d like to collaborate with,” said Ricky. Guess who will be collabing with Gary tonight on the Voice season 17 finale? That’s right! “He came through,” Ricky said happily. “We talked about that night I met him and had a good laugh about how wild it is that this is happening,” he continued.

Get ready for Ricky’s collab with Gary Clark Jr plus watch a powerhouse performance from Jennifer Hudson to one of the most iconic songs ever tonight!

Tune into ‘The Voice’ season 17 two-hour finale airing on NBC starting at 9pm EST.
