Ren Patrick is a singer/songwriter who auditioned for American Idol Season 3 on ABC had an interesting story to tell about her former boyfriend. She always loved singing but she lost part of her dream when she was younger.
Ren was involved in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend for over seven years. Unfortunately it took her quite a while to realize that this relationship was toxic for her.
It got to the point that this ex-boyfriend would tell Ren that she is “worthless.” He didn’t like her mother, someone who Ren is very close to, so she wasn’t allowed to talk to her mother when he was around.
Thankfully Ren was able to break free from this relationship and she decided to take a girls’ trip with her mother and other family members to try out for American Idol.
Katy Perry Told Ren Patrick to Dump Boyfriend
When she got in front of the celebrity American Idol judges, she told Katy Perry something she didn’t even realize. Katy Perry actually had something to do with the breakup. When Ren was at a Hollywood party approximately 7 years ago, she was in a nasty fight with her then boyfriend. Katy Perry walked by the couple and said “Girl, dump him” under her breath.
