It’s not just pizza, and it’s definitely not a cupcake. So, what is the Pizza Cupcake? It’s pizza made like a cupcake. If you’re curious to learn more about this unique food from its Shark Tank debut, keep reading below for five facts.
1) Michelle Jimenez-Meggiato and Andrea Meggiato are the creators. Michelle is Filipina-American, and Andrea is an Italian native. The two founded their business in 2018.
2) It’s literally like it sounds: pizza, in cupcake form! It’s stuffed with mozzarella cheese, and topped with tomato or pepperoni. The dough even melts in your mouth. The perk is that it’s easy to take on the go, thanks to its convenient size.
3) There’s just margherita and pepperoni flavors right now, and they’re available through their website. The Pizza Cupcake is working gluten-free and vegan options as we speak.
4) The fun pizza product has been featured in many media outlets, including The New York Post and Forbes.
5) For a family-owned business out of NYC, their social media is great. They’re close to 7,000 followers on Instagram, and have over 3,000 on Facebook. Perhaps those numbers will spark an interest in one of the sharks?

Mark Cuban said, “If you guys want to stay frozen, working with Bantam is the way to go. Here’s the thing. Selling frozen is hard as Lori will attest to, as we’ve all done. Getting into the space is really hard. For those reasons, I’m out.”
