Phoozy from Shark Tank: Everything You Need to Know

We all know our devices are attached to us pretty much 24/7. However, wanting to keep those phones protected can sometimes impede on any adventures we might want to take. The Phoozy products “provide thermal, drop and float protection for smartphones and coming soon, tablets and laptops” according to the official website. So what is Phoozy all about? Find out below.

How did the idea of Phoozy come about?

According to Kevin Conway, the co-founder and CEO of the company he said, “The Phoozy was born out of my frustration of having my phone overheat and shut down when I was outside on a hot summer day or freeze when I was snowboarding. Having your phone overheat and shut down or sink to the bottom of a lake or river is a sure way to ruin a great adventure.”

Where did the unique material for the Phoozy come from?

It was actually adapted from the spacesuit technology. The spacesuits are built to handle extreme temperatures of space. This was perfect, the encapsulation of the product even floats so no more sinking for your smartphones and devices.

Can you buy the Phoozy online for individual consumers?

Yes you can. The Phoozy can be found in multiple colors and looks on Amazon in their store.

“Tomorrow night is THE night! Watch @sharktankabc at 8/7c to see if we sink or swim. The anxiety is real.”

How is Kevin Conway, the co-founder of the company connected to NASCAR?

Kevin Conway was a professional race car driver at the highest levels of motorsports including the NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year, FIA Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Champion and current driver in the GT4 America Series.

They had the Phoozy debut at Smoogeracing in California. SMOOGE Racing relies on Phoozy to help protect the drivers’ laptops, tablets, and phones during a long racing weekend.

It doesn’t stop at the Phoozy. They also have “Device Decontamination Wipes” which could come in very handy for very specific situations.

The product is also germ proof because of an antimicrobial lining. At the end of 2020, they presented their new Apollo II and Antimicrobial series that kills 99.99% of all germs and microbes.

This product is very helpful as a workout partner. If you go out running or working out in some way, the Phoozy will protect your phone from being dropped, too much heat, cold, water, or germs.

Will the Phoozy co-founders get a deal? Find out on Shark Tank on Friday, April 2nd at 8/7 central.
