There are a lot of health crazes. But, one that’s seemed to stick? Almond-based beverages, especially milk. That’s where NuMilk comes in. It’s a “DIY” almond milk making machine. The convenience and easy use are only a couple reasons why it’s gained popularity. If you want to learn more, keep reading. We’ve got five facts before it debuts on Shark Tank.
Details on NuMilk
1) Joe Savino and Ari Tolwin are the entrepreneurs behind NuMilk. The two have backgrounds in the beverage industry. Joe cofounded Harvest Beverage Group; Ari cofounded Happy Tree Maple Water.
2) Their product is the machine that makes the beverage on demand. What makes it unique is that there’s no artificial ingredients or extra additives. Just 2 (or 3) things: almonds, purified water, and, if you want it sweet: maple syrup.
3) All you do is place a bottle underneath the spout, and select “unsweetened” or “sweetened.” The machine prepares the almond milk for you at only $3.99.
4) Currently, they operate in New England and New York Whole Foods Markets. Interestingly enough, Whole Foods wants to take NuMilk to the next level. The idea is to expand to include macadamia, oat, and other alternatives.
5) Coming soon for the company are shakes, as well as a commercial machine. Essentially, people could have access to their own NuMilk machine! Pretty cool, right? Seems like the sky’s the limit for Ari and Joe.
