1) As mentioned above, Nev hosts the show Catfish on MTV. He’s been doing that since 2012. He spent the first seven seasons co-hosting with Max Joseph. Later, Kamie Crawford took over as cohost for season 8.

2) The MTV series is actually based on the 2010 film Catfish, which followed Nev’s love life. Nev met a girl online, but later found out she wasn’t who she said she was. This popularized the term “catfish” in mainstream media.

3) Nev’s currently married to Laura Perlongo. They’ve been married since 2017, and have two kids together. They have a daughter named Cleo and a son named Beau. In April of this year, the couple announced the pregnancy of their third child.

4) His brother Ariel Schulman, is a filmmaker and actor. Ariel actually directed and filmed Nev’s 2010 movie Catfish, and helped create the concept for the MTV show of the same name.

5) A Meaww article has Nev’s net worth at an estimated $500,000. Apparently, he makes about $100,000 per season of the series. In addition to his Catfish earnings, Nev made an impressive amount from Dancing with the Stars. He took home $345,000!
