Nathan Smothers is one of four farmer contestants on FOX’s popular TV show, Farmer Wants a Wife. In season 2, he will meet women from all over the country and they will get to see his lifestyle. Being from Florida, you may not think there’s much farming that goes on there. But, there certainly is. Nathan is proof of that. According to his LinkedIn, he studied agriculture at Warner University to prepare to continue the family business. This tractor riding, baseball playing college graduate is taking the reins of his life now. The only thing missing is someone to share it with. Learn more about Nathan below with these five facts.
1) Nathan is 23 years old. He’s the youngest farmer on season 2.
2) He was born and raised in Bartow, Florida. He returned home after college to help run the family farm and citrus groves. He’s a fourth generation citrus and cattle farmer. In addition, Nathan co-owns First Cast Fishing, and enjoys photography when he has a free moment.
3) Nathan has three sisters: Savannah, Aubrey and Nicole. After his father passed away when Smothers was 12, he stepped up to help support his mother, Sabrena.
4) Smothers has close to 3,000 followers on Instagram and his TikTok popularity has skyrocketed. Nathan currently has over 25,000 followers on that platform, with numbers increasing every day.
5) He may be young, but he knows what he wants. Nathan wants to settle down and start a family with “the love of his life.” He’s a proud uncle to his niece and nephew, but he wants kids of his own too. So, hopefully he’ll find that special someone on the show this season.
