Meet Michael Gerow from American Idol

American Idol auditions continue this week. One new contestant who will take the stage is Michael Gerow. We’ve got five facts about the American Idol hopeful for you below. So, keep reading to learn more about him.

1) Michael Gerow is from Saint Louis, Missouri. He’s a junior in high school. He told his local news that the secret of Idol was actually easy to keep. Course, it’s always been a dream of his to be on the show, so he was excited!

2) He passed the first round of Zoom auditions. Then, he was “greenlit” to go to California. He auditioned in front of the judges in 2020 in San Diego.

3) He prepared 3 songs for his audition: “The Bed I Made” by Allan Stone; “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith; plus an original called “Nice Boy.”

4) Apparently he tried out for NBC’s The Voice, but didn’t make to the Blind Auditions. He didn’t let that deter him though, as he continued to release his own music.

5) It’s no surprise Michael has TikTok. But, what is surprising is the following. He has over 149,000 followers, and 2.4 million likes. You can see a TikTok below:
