When you combine an expert marketer and makeup maven, who both just happen to be sisters, you get Luna Magic. That’s precisely what happened when the Frías sisters teamed up to create the unique, inclusive beauty brand. Now, they will be featured on ABC’s Shark Tank this week. 1) Shaira & Mabel Frías are the duo behind Luna Magic. Mabel has over 10 years marketing experience working with brands like Macy’s and Savage x Fenty by Rihanna. Shaira attended the Academy of Freelance Makeup School, and was a journalist prior to that.

2) Luna Magic is inspired by the Caribbean, Latina America, Los Angeles, and New York City. They’re high quality cosmetics at a fairly affordable price. Shaira and Mabel injected bold colors into their brand, making it stand out from competitors.

3) Currently, they sell an eyeshadow palette, makeup brushes, eyelashes, and matte liquid lipsticks. They also have bundle sets, some t-shirts, and face masks.

4) In May 2020, Luna Magic was chosen for Glossier’s grant program. Their bestselling eyeshadow palette and liquid lip was reviewed by the major beauty brand. They were featured in Allure and Refinery 29, as well as on Good Morning America.

5) Luna Magic is sold on Walmart.com and Amazon. But, it’s possible that the Frías sisters need a little bit of momentum from one of the sharks. Whether it’s for distribution or inventory – will one of the investors bite?
