Natural beauty is very popular right now. Good for you ingredients have taken over the market. One new brand appeared on season 13 of Shark Tank to discuss their natural skincare products. That company is Love & Pebble. Find out more about them below with these five facts and update.
1) Love & Pebble is an all-natural skincare, beauty, and personal care brand. The founders are a husband and wife team, Paul Tran and Lynda Truong. Paul has a background in pharmaceuticals, while Lynda used to work in retail. But, skincare has always been a passion of hers.
2) The idea came to Tran when he saw his wife applying a frozen banana to her face. After she explained its skin benefits, he tried it for himself. With good results, they decided to create beauty pops. It uses ice and a face mask mix to create a cryogenic facial.
3) The company is only a year old, having launched in March 2021. The masks are made with bananas, aloe, papaya, and turmeric, in a powder formula. Mix it with water and freeze it to create the beauty pop. Then, simply take it out of the freezer and roll it on your skin to reap the benefits.
4) On Shark Tank, they went in asking for $150,000 for 10% equity. While the sharks liked their start, it all came down to the numbers. With lifetime sales at $890,000, and $100,000 after a four-day viral hit, it was decent, but not enough to impress the panel. They did not receive a deal with any of the sharks.
5) Although they did not receive a deal, Paul and Lynda didn’t let that stop them. They’ve been featured in Cosmopolitan and Buzzfeed, not to mention plenty of viral TikTok videos. Currently, they only have the beauty pops on their website. Shop everything here.
