When The Hills: New Beginnings returns for its second season, a lot will be different. One difference is that while Kaitlynn Carter will be featured, she’s no longer with co-star Brody Jenner. So, who is Kaitlynn Carter? Find out more about Brody’s ex below.
Get to Know Kaitlynn Carter
1) While it was assumed that Brody and Kaitlynn were married in 2019, the duo clarified things during season 1 of The Hills: New Beginnings. When people began to talk about their “open marriage” Kaitlynn and Brody confronted it, saying their marriage wasn’t binding. So, that’s why they’re simply exes to each other, as opposed to ex-wife or ex-husband. They remain friendly though – the two went to another friend’s wedding last year.
2) After her split from Brody in 2019, Kaitlynn dated singer Miley Cyrus. Even though they didn’t last, their relationship was talked about a lot. After they fizzled, Kaitlynn threw herself into her work. She started a podcast called The Bright Side.
3) It was actually on a different podcast that she revealed she was dating someone new. According to E!, in December 2020 on Becca Tilley’s show, Kaitlynn said her new boyfriend was the first “real adult” she’d dated. His name is Kris and he’s the co-founder of the fashion brand, The Brock Collection. He took the Instagram photo below:
4) Outside of her Hills co-stars, Kaitlynn knows a lot of other famous people. Fashion designer Rachel Zoe, Summer House star Paige Desorbo, and The Bachelor‘s Nick Viall are a few names. The aforementioned names were also on episodes of Kaitlynn’s podcast. She’s always been good at establishing connections in the business.
5) In her spare time, she enjoys nature, and spending time outdoors. She’s an avid fan of horses, even partnering with American Wild Horses’ “Free Wild Horses” campaign. Kaitlynn always seems to be on the move: skiing, biking, hiking, you name it. She just loves feeling free.
