February 14 is Valentine’s Day. But, for contestants on American Idol, it’s audition time. Now, there’s an interesting story here, because there’s not one, but two fresh faces on the season premiere. The brothers are named Joshua Hunter and Ethan Kuntz. We’ve got a few facts about them for you below. So, keep reading to learn more about the American Idol hopefuls.
1) Ethan apparently auditioned on American Idol season 15. He was seen with Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez, and Keith Urban back then.
2) Now, in season 19, he’s brought his brother Joshua Hunter along. While the two don’t always perform together, apparently this audition called for it.
3) Joshua has a great voice. Ethan is skilled in drums, harmonica, and guitar.
4) The siblings play off each other well. Ethan’s vocals are more rough; Joshua’s are a bit lighter. Joshua is also into more of a pop sound. He even goes by the nickname JKPopstar on social media.
5) Ethan has opened for artists like Cara Lippman and Michael Shipp. He’s played on Memphis’ Beale Street and at BB King’s.
