Gunnar Optiks is a glass-wear line that helps provide better focus and less eye strain. Started by Joe Croft, his company aims to provide “options for gaming, computing, reading, prescription and even sunglasses”. His company hopes to help enable adults to choose better glasses when using digital devices. Joe Croft appeared on Shark Tank back in 2008 with his glasses company, Gunnar Optiks. Hoping to test the waters and to get a bite from a shark, he managed to walk away with a generous offer from Lori Greiner, of $375,000 as an investment and $375,000 as a loan at eight percent equity.

After Lori Greiner’s offer, where is Gunnar Optiks at now? Just recently, Gunnar Optiks announced a new line of eyewear that will be able to block emery blue lighting. Their focus with this line is to give the glasses a modern feel for everyday wear. It seems like Lori Greiner is no longer working with Joe Croft on his company, as it seems he is doing very well with himself and his company. Good news for Gunnar Optiks, you can purchase them on Amazon’s website.

The company overall seems to be selling well on Amazon, with average reviews of being well above 4.5 stars. One reviewer comment’s saying, “These glasses have been a lifesaver for my wife! These were recommended to her by another gamer and we decided to give them a try. My wife noticed a difference right away! We are going to order another pair for to keep at work!”. With the digitalized aspects and the ability to combat more than sunrays proves this product does well when looking for something to help with eye straining while staring at a screen. Another reviewer commented, “lightweight, yet still feels like a quality product. I like it because I can still see all the color and just yellow/orange everything.”
