February 14 is Valentine’s Day. But, for American Idol contestants, it’s audition time. One person that tried out for this all-new season is Grace Kinstler. We’ve got a few facts about her below. So, if you want to learn more about this American Idol hopeful, keep reading.
Update on 4/18/21: Grace Kinstler sang “Happy” by Pharrel. Grace made it through to the next round!
Update on 4/12/21: Grace Kinstler was voted in by America to go to the Top 12 of American Idol. She sang “Dangerous Woman” by Ariana Grande.
Update on 4/4/21: Grace Kinstler sang a duet to “Midnight Train to Georgia” with Joss Stone.
Update on 3/29/21: Grace Kinstler sang “Father” by Demi Lovato. She made it to the top 24!
Update 3/21/21: Grace Kinstler impressed in the Hollywood Week solos. She moved on to the Hollywood Week Duets.
Did Grace Kinstler receive a Golden Ticket?
Update: Grace impressed the judges in the audition round and they gave her a golden ticket to the Hollywood Week! Since her audition aired she participated in a riff challenge. It was called the Jasmine Sullivan Insecure Riff Challenge. See how she did!
She did a photoshoot with her photographer boyfriend, Joseph and also celebrated International Women’s Day.
1) Grace is 20 years old, but has been singing since she was little.
2) She lives in Chicago. That’s also where she filmed her preliminary audition clip for the show. She then went to Los Angeles to audition for the judges. Coincidentally, Katy Perry was actually one of Grace’s first concerts!
3) Grace already has two extended-plays (EPs) under her belt. She also has an impressive Instagram following with over 13,000 followers.
4) She attends Berklee School of Music, and will graduate in 2022.
5) She’s been dating beatboxer Joseph Wheatley for a little over a year now. They celebrated their one-year anniversary in November 2020.
