1. The food truck, “Fried Green Tomatoes” first took to the streets at the prestigious Wilson County Fair in Tennessee.
2. Holly said fans of the trucks all had one consistent request, to be able to take home the batter mix of the famous flavor of the fried green tomatoes. Meet Holly Gaitlin Cooper. She hails from Old Hickory, Tennessee. She started her business in 2012.
3. The company currently offers three different products. The Batter Mix, the Secret Sauce, and Fried Pickle Batter.
4. Curious what the food truck offers on the menu? Besides their famous fried green tomatoes, they also offer the following items. They offer a BLFGT, catfish sandwich, cheeseburger, grouper sandwich, shrimp po boy, tenders, fried pickles, fries, onion rings, and soft drinks.
Yes. Fried Green Tomatoes was offered a deal by sharks Daymond John and Barbara Corcoran. Despite Daymond’s offer, Cooper agreed to Barbara’s offer of $200,000 for a 30% stake. Her goal was to help them expand the reach into big box stores.
However, it doesn’t appear that the deals with big box stores ever went through. The official website only offers their batter mix and products through their own website.

The company has a small presence online with only 5 posts on Instagram, and 350 followers. However, their Facebook page has about 2900 followers and is definitely more active. It looks like they are quite excited about their new products. Finally, you could find their food truck at the Tennessee Wilson County Fair according to the official Facebook page.
