To Tell the Truth is back this summer with all new mysteries. A panel of celebrity guests are invited on each episode to play detective in who is telling the truth. Three people claim to all have the same profession or accomplishment. In this episode, RuPaul, Cedric the Entertainer and Nikki Glaser had to guess who was the real etiquette expert.
“Here is this person’s story in their own words. Invasive questions, body language, talking over one another, the manners I have seen on this show in the past have been abysmal,” they begin.
“If you hold the door open for someone, should you expect them to say thank you?” Cedric the Entertainer asked the panel of imposters. “You should expect them to say thank you, and if they don’t, just keep stepping,” one responded.
“Are any of us doing anything wrong that you can fix right now?” Nikki Glaser asks.
“Sometimes you overstep talking before someone is finished, RuPaul,” the male panelist said.
When it became time for the celebrity guests to guess who is the real etiquette expert, RuPaul and Cedric the entertainer chose panelist #3. Nikki Glaser chose differently and guessed #2.
Who was the real etiquette expert?
Panelist #3! RuPaul and Cedric the Entertainer were right. “My name is Elaine Swan and I am an etiquette expert” she professed. “Go girl!” said Mama Doris.
“As an etiquette expert, can you coach my mama the proper way to get a man’s attention?” asked host, Anthony Anderson. “I got you honey,” she responded.
This isn’t the first time Elaine was on TV. She was featured on Access Hollywood and has a website of her own where she offers free advice, courses, and you can even book a private session with her.
Elaine posted a photo from the To Tell the Truth set to her Instagram saying she had a “blast filming the show.”
Elaine weighed in on the proper place to put your mask when you go out to eat. Should you put it in your bag? Can you leave it hanging from your ear? Listen to what the etiquette expert has to say!
