The teen with the incredibly deep voice took The Voice judges by surprise when he walked out on stage. Described as a “country boy with a dream of singing for you folks” on his Instagram, Ethan Lively is the real deal. We want you to meet Ethan and find out all about him.
Even though he has a very mature voice and sound, he is actually still a teenager and only 17 years old!
Ethan lives in Coalfield, Tennesse which he calls a town so small that is isn’t “bigger than a flea on a dog.”
1. He posted a few YouTube videos, one of which is a cover of “Tennessee Whiskey.” You can see Ethan decked out in true country gear with a cowboy hat on. Even though he apologizes for the poor audio, comments flooded in with praise for his singing. Here are a few.

2. He definitely is a gentleman and left a sweet message for everyone reminding them to tune in to The Voice on NBC. He says, “If you ain’t watching The Voice, what are you doing? Some of the blinds went through, some great people singing on there..I hope you have a blessed night.”
3. On The Voice he sang a cover of George Strait’s “You Look So Good In Love” for his audition. They have labeled him the “Tender Cowboy.”
4. Ethan told The Voice audience he has been singing since he was only 3 years old. His very deep voice however started when he was 14.
5. One of the first videos Ethan posted to his Instagram was a cover of “Thunder Rolls.” It was met with many positive comments including the following:
Aaron Stinett said, “I will ride the lightning with you just to hear the thunder roll.”
Samantha Whitaker said, “You’re very good and I also like old country music too!😊 My name is Samantha Rose Whitaker.”
Blake Shelton said there aren’t enough people who appreciate true country music which was the reason he was the only one who turned for Ethan. He ended up choosing Team Blake.
