Eric Byrnes was an outfielder in major league baseball. His professional career spanned 10 years. Later, he moved onto sportscasting. 1) As mentioned above, Eric held positions in the outfield during his professional baseball career. He threw and batted right, and held impressive stats throughout the years.
2) The teams he played for were: Oakland Athletics (2000-2005), Colorado Rockies and Baltimore Orioles (2005), Arizona Diamondbacks (2006-2009), and finally, Seattle Mariners (2010). He retired in 2010, but still plays softball.
3) Aside from baseball, Eric enjoys golfing. He actually holds a Guinness World Record for “most holes of golf in a single day” with 420 holes.
4) Post-MLB, he found sportscasting. He was an analyst for MLB until 2021, appearing on ESPN, Fox, and radio station KNBR. Eric even hosted his own TV show, which aired on FSN Arizona during the Diamondbacks’ regular season.
5) Currently, he lives with his wife Tarah and their kids in Half Moon Bay, California. Something else pretty cool? His son Colton plays little league! And Eric’s the coach!
