1) Eli’s hometown is El Paso, Texas, but he currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
2) The song he chose to sing for his blind audition was the late Juan Gabriel’s “Ya Lo Sé Que Tú Te Vas,” which translates to “I Know That You’re Leaving.” Kelly Clarkson praised the power behind his vocals, and got even more excited when she heard he was from Texas (Clarkson is from Fort Worth.)

4) Eli was coached by Belinda Peregrín Schüll (also known as Belinda or Beli), a famous Mexican singer-songwriter when he was on the Spanish-American version of The Voice, called La Voz.
5) When he’s not splitting his time between Las Vegas and Los Angeles, you can find Eli traveling. He likes to go to Mexico and explore places such as Puerto Vallarta.
