Donny Osmond has been a pop icon since the early 70’s, and was one of nine kids. So, it’s probably not a surprise that he and his wife Debbie, have five kids of their own. Get to know more about Donny’s family, including his wife and sons below.
Debbie: Wife of Donny Osmond
The matriarch of the Osmond family is Debbie Osmond, and she’s 61 years old. She’s only one younger than her husband, Donny Osmond, who is 62. According to a post from Donny’s Facebook, he met Debbie when she was 15 years old. She was a cheerleader in Billings, Montana.
Get this: Debbie dated Donny’s brother, Jay, before she met Donny! It apparently took Donny a few years of dating before they were married in May 1978. They got married in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. They’ve now been married for over 40 years.
Donny always wishes his wife a happy birthday, as well as a happy anniversary each year. How sweet is that! Below is a photo from one of his recent Instagram posts where he gave her a lovely shoutout.
Meet the 5 Sons of Donny Osmond
Yes, you read that right: Donny and his wife, Debbie, have five boys together. They range in ages, the oldest being Donald Clark Osmond Jr., who was born in 1979. Next came Jeremy James Osmond in 1981, followed by Brandon Michael Osmond in 1985, and Christopher Glenn Osmond in 1990. It would be 8 years until their last son, Joshua Davis Osmond, was born in 1998.
Don Osmond Jr.
Don Jr. is married to Jessica Nelson, and they’ve been together for 10 years. They have 3 sons together, and 1 on the way, which makes 4 grandchildren for Donny and Debbie! He works in public relations within the entertainment sphere. He even took on his dad as a client at one point, according to The Spectrum.
Jeremy Osmond
Jeremy married his wife, Melisa, in 2002, and together they have 3 kids. They have 2 sons, and 1 daughter, which is Donny Osmond’s only granddaughter. He pursued a doctorate degree and works as a physical therapist.
Brandon Osmond
Brandon and his wife Shelby (married in 2008) are both artists. Brandon is a jack of all trades. He’s an advertiser, art director, photographer, musician, and singer. And yes, he’s got kids too: 4 sons!
Brandon got to spend some quality time with his three little ones (pictured below). He wrote, “It’s been a good weekend and I hate to see it end, but sadly daddy’s got to go to work tomorrow.”

“Just looking back at this weekend makes me happy. It was a simple weekend but so nice to spend some alone time with @shelbyosmond,” Brandon wrote on Instagram.
Christopher Osmond
Christopher and his wife, Alta were married in 2017, and just had their first child. Remember when Donny had one granddaughter? Well, now make that two, as Chris and Alta just welcomed a baby girl! Chris also works in photography.
Just like his brothers, Chris loves to go to Disneyland! He took his wife and baby girl, Aussie, to the happiest place on earth. “I think we got a Disney princess on our hands and she doesn’t even know it. Love these girls so much!” he wrote.
Chris and Alta just celebrated their baby girl’s very first Christmas!
Another fun fact! Chris and his father Donny celebrate their birthdays together in December, surrounded of course by their big family. Donny posted a photo of he, his son, and grandchildren all around the birthday cake. He wrote, “Happy birthday to a son who truly shines! 🥳 I love celebrating our birthdays together, Chris. You are the best birthday gift I’ve ever received. Pretty funny how we used to eat cake after someone had blown on it. LOL! Good times.”
Joshua Osmond
The youngest Osmond son, Joshua, has been doing some awesome things too. He served on a two year mission trip in Italy from 2016-2018 with the Church of Latter Day Saints. He also got engaged to his girlfriend, Summer, in February 2020.
The couple married on June 12, 2020. Josh was thrilled to be tying the knot. He wrote, “
Finally, tomorrow I get to marry my best friend! I love you Sum!”
The newlyweds took a trip to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland of course!
Josh’s wife, Summer Osmond couldn’t believe she and her husband have already been married for one year. “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Can’t believe it’s already been a whole year! Cheers to the constant laughter, late night card games, movie marathons, and everything in between. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and I love you so much!”
Family Matters
Josh is the most recent son to tie the knot; their wedding was on June 13. No kids as of yet – but we’re pretty sure Donny and Debbie are still gushing over the twelve they’ve got right now!
The huge Osmond clan gets together for holidays and other special occasions, like weddings, for example. Donny and his sons bond over sports or fishing when they can. They went on an Alaskan fishing trip in July 2019, and had tons of fun – not to mention caught a lot of fish!
