Who is Domenico Brugellis from Biggest Loser on NBC?

Domenico Brugellis is one of the contestants on The Biggest Loser, which is a weight loss based competition show. He’s on his way to living a better life, but what else do you know about him? We’ve got some fun facts for you below, so keep reading to learn more about Domenico.

1) Domenico – or Dom, as most people call him – is a proud father of a six year old girl. He is a part of the “red team” on The Biggest Loser, and will be trained by Erica, who herself has lost major weight through nutrition and exercise. Dom said that without her pushing him to believe in himself, he wouldn’t have gotten through those hard moments. You can see an example of a tough moment from his Instagram page below:

2) Domenico attended the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), which is the #1 culinary arts school in the country. He received an Associates of Arts & Sciences degree in 2009. He then went on to work as a Sous Chef at Scotto Brothers, which was a restaurant in Syosset, New York; next as an owner of George’s Place, which was a burger and fries joint. 3) His career path changed slightly when he went into sales with Sysco, which is a food and kitchen product distribution company. While Dom was there, he was a sales representative. This is what led him to be a food manager for the Department of Education, where he is responsible for setting the menus across the school systems in NYC.

4) Dom Brugellis decided to go on the Biggest Loser because his love of food needed to be balanced more with his everyday life. He has a love for Italian food, and wants to live a healthier lifestyle, while still being able to have some pasta every now and then. Can’t say we blame him! See him with his teammates below:

5) Domineco is hopeful about his journey, as he wants to be able to be there for all his daughter’s moments, like her graduation or her Sweet 16. His well-being is his top priority, and he is excited for everyone to see what he can do.
