The Voice is back and better than ever this week. One new contestant who will audition for season 20 is Dana Monique. We’ve got five facts on The Voice hopeful for you below. So, keep reading to learn more about Dana.
Update: John Legend and Nick Jonas turned their chairs for Dana Monique who proudly announced she is 41 years old to cheers from Kelly Clarkson. After much deliberation, Dana chose Team Nick Jonas!
1) Dana is a mother to a beautiful daughter and son. Her daughter’s name is Amaya. Her son is a rapper who performs under the moniker SALVATIXN.
2) According to Idol Chatter, Dana’s been a background singer since she was a teenager. She said that she didn’t mind being a background singer because she likes “helping other people bring their dreams to life.”
3) She’s from Houston, Texas.
4) According to her Instagram bio, she’s also an actress.
