Update on Click & Carry 2022

Did Click & Carry get a deal on Shark Tank?

They walked into the Shark Tank asking $225,000 for a 15% stake in the company. Barbara Corcoran asked if she would want to sell her entire business. Kim declined that idea. Then Barbara offered $225,00 for 85% and that certainly wasn’t something Kim wanted to do. Mark Cuban decided to go in with Barbara on a deal of $225,000 for 40%. Kim said yes to this deal and told Mark, “you were the shark I wanted” as he went over to hug her and he responded, “thank you sweetie, we’re happy for you, thank you so much.”

Unfortunately the deal never closed.

How is Click & Carry doing today?

The company has a modest following of 2K on Instagram and 2.2K likes on Facebook. The company is pretty active on social media recently posting about a contest.

According to their website the product can be seen on QVC, Amazon, and of course their own website. You can also find the product at Lowes and Walmart.

On Amazon, they are low in quantity with only a dozen or so products left in the warehouse. Reviews are strong with 3,709 ratings at 4.5 out of 5 stars.

CNBC said the company made $70,000 in the year following her December episode airing on Shark Tank.

Details on Click & Carry

1) Kim Meckwood is a mother, full-time employee, and the inventor of Click & Carry. She still worked her day job, and did everything invention-related during the weekends. It was only when she received a life-changing diagnosis of breast cancer that she decided to live her life to the fullest, which included making her side hustle her permanent gig.

2) Her device is a small, padded, gel grip that evenly distributes 40 pounds on each side of your shoulder (or hand) so you have freedom to use your hand(s) for your keys, child, etc. It’s easy to use, with a twistable handle that opens and closes for loading and unloading of bags.

3) Kim got her first big break at the Home + Housewares trade show in Chicago, Illinois. Her product was so popular that she snagged a spot on Bethenny Frankel’s TV show, which then landed her a segment on QVC!

4) Since then, her product has been sold in Ralph’s (a California store chain), Kroger, Walmart; on Amazon, and yes, still on QVC. There are currently 5 different colors: black, pink, purple, blue, and green.

5) One unique thing Kim does? She tells people all over to submit their photos of themselves using Click & Carry. Yep, no models or paid celebrities for her: just regular people utilizing her item to its best ability. Will her realistic approach work on the sharks?
