Brennan is originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania and is a 23 year old graduate of Berklee College of Music.
In an article in the Boston Sun he tells the reporter, “That photo does me justice -it really does make me look tall,” said Hepler approvingly. “I am 5-11 and I look like I’m 6-3 in that photo. But we’re working with we’ve got.”
1) His name is actually Brennan Hepler. He uses “Beane” as his stage name.
2) He was inspired to pursue music after seeing a local concert. He’s been singing since he was 5 years old. Check out an IG video of him singing below.
3) Later, he took up trombone and joined musicals. He has a natural love and talent for entertaining. Then, he graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2019. He majored in Music Business Management.
4) While in college, Beane came to terms with his sexuality. He told On the Pulse News that coming out as gay allowed him “to become a more open and authentic songwriter.” His LGBTQ perspective does influence his music, but in small ways. For example, Beane writes to “he/him.”
5) Even though music is his whole world, he still felt the pressure of the Idol name. He said that “there’s nothing like” the audition process. Singing in front of those judges was a once in a lifetime moment.
“Meeting the judges was a larger-than-life experience,” said Hepler. “Being from a small town, and to see them [the judges] only on screen your whole life.” (Boston Sun)
