American Idol premiered its new season last week. Now, it’s time for another round of auditions. One person you’ll see try out this week is Anthony Guzman. We’ve got a few facts on Anthony for you below. So, keep reading to learn more about the American Idol hopeful.

Update on 3/22/21: Anthony was paired up with Adriel Carrion. He worked with Adriel to give him a “viking mentality” and more confidence. They ended up singing “Watermelon Sugar High” by Harry Styles. The judges were surprised by Adriel’s confidence on stage. They both got through to the next level of American Idol.

Update on 3/21/21: Anthony and Andrea were the only two of their group to move to Hollywood Duets week.

1) He’s not related to Ryan Guzman, but Anthony is an actor along with being a musician.

2) His musical preferences/style gravitate to heavy rock or metal. You can check out one of his covers on his YouTube channel for an example.

3) He’s from North Carolina.

4) If you do a Google search of Anthony, you’ll see that his Facebook and Twitter accounts still show up. But, he’s apparently wiped his social media footprint away. At least, for now. Perhaps he will come back online when Idol airs.

5) Anthony dressed up in costume for his audition. Yes, he is in fact holding the hammer from Thor! Must be the actor in him coming out.
