Meet Andrea Valles from American Idol

American Idol airs its last round of auditions this week. One new contestant who will take the stage is Andrea Valles. We’ve got five facts on the American Idol hopeful for you below. So, keep reading to learn more about Andrea.

Update 3/21/21: Andrea and Anthony were the only two of their group to move on to the Hollywood Duets Week.

1) Andrea Valles is a bilingual singer-songwriter. If you go off her Instagram bio, then she’s also a content creator. 

2) She lives in Houston, Texas. But, Andrea is originally from Venezuela. 

3) One of her most recent songs, “Photogenic,” has an amazing “visual” video. The music video is in black and white. Check it out below:

4) Some of her favorite artists are: Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, and Lizzo. Her sound definitely has pop influences too. Bonus Fact: One of her most popular YouTube videos is her ukulele tutorial for Ruth B’s song “Lost Boy.” It has over 164,000 views. 

5) When she’s not singing or performing, Andrea is an avid skateboarder. She captioned this Instagram post with: “It really do be a fun lifestyle tho” complete with the skateboard emoji. You can see it below: 

Bonus Fact: Andrea’s look is very distinct. She wears her hair down with either a wave or curl. For her Idol audition, she actually had pink hair! She also has a signature makeup: a cat eyeliner with a bold lip.
