So many amazing singers and songwriters have found their way to NBC’s The Voice stage. One of those singers looking to be discovered is Kara McKee. This musician and singer will bring her talents to the stage to see if any of the judges’ chairs turn to greet her during her audition. Want to know about the girl behind the show? Let’s start now.
Where is Kara McKee From?
1. Kara is from Rhode Island and is a northeast girl. She loves to grab her guitar and get to singing just like you see in this video below where she covers Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon.” Listen to her for yourself.
Is She Related to Governor McKee of Rhode Island?
2. Kara is not new to the spotlight. She is actually connected to some important people politically. That’s right, she is the daughter of Governor McKee of Rhode Island. Governor McKee is married to Susan and together they have two children, Matthew and Kara. So it looks like Kara has an older brother.
3. Even someone like Kara feels the need for a little digital minimalism or a digital break. In a more recent post to Instagram she writes, “Hi! Good morning ☀️ it’s been a while since we did “song a day for all of May”, and I am happy you are still here 🙏🏻

4. Kara is a yoga teacher! She teaches at the West Side Yoga Studio in Providence, Rhode Island. At that yoga studio they have classes in Power Vinyasa, Yoga Sculpt, Slow Flow, Forrest, 11:11, Restorative, Vinyasa, and they use infrared heat.
5. Kara is part of a group known as Rosmere Road with two other women. They have a new single called “January Road” which is out now.
