Cara Brindisi who is a Worcester, Massachusetts native will take her singing talents to The Voice Season 22 where she will make her presence known hoping to turn some heads, and chairs of course! So what is Cara Brindisi’s story? We have it for you!
What Made Cara Brindisi Audition for The Voice?
1. When asked by Mass Live why she chose to go on The Voice, her response was, “It gets to a point where I realized, I’m not getting any younger. You gotta go for your dreams. You gotta go for the opportunities that are going to make you be able to do more of your dream, and so that’s what I did.”
Where Did She Go to College?
2. Cara Brindisi went to college at the Berklee College of Music and graduated in 2011. She performed as an opening act working with a number of professional musicians. She has won Best Female Vocalist and Best Solo Acoustic Act at the Worcester Music Awards. In addition to this, she performs at some major centers including Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod and the Landing in Newport, R.I. according to Masslive.com.
3. Not only does Cara play the guitar and sing, she also is a pianist! It looks like it was for a virtual concert. She said, “I had the privilege of performing a set on the @mechanicshall stage this past weekend. There were 3 other staff members in the entire hall, recording as a test for future live streamed performances. I was the happiest little guinea pig!” This was also her very first time to play a grand piano in stiletto heels!
What Type of Job Does Cara Have?
4. When Cara isn’t performing music or writing songs, she is working as a music therapist for clients of all ages and backgrounds. Her website says it is this work which brings her the most joy.
5. She loves to spend time near the water and as she gets older she says she realizes how important the peace of being near the water is. Here is what she said, “The older I get, the more I try and soak in the peaceful days to save in my back pocket knowing that life will time and time again hand us challenges. The ebb and flow is real…sometimes we’re being pushed way out to sea, sometimes we’re calmly landing to shore, other times we’re just far from any water at all. I guess my point is…if you’re in rocky waters right now, or feeling totally alone out in a wide open ocean, please know it won’t last forever. Easier ‘said’ than to feel it as truth, but sometimes it’s important to hear that you will make it through.”
