Did the Deal Close?
No. After they were done filming the episode, the deal with Daniel Lubetzky never actually closed. Therefore, they were on their own again.
Where Are They Now? + Net Worth
FlingGolf blew up! It was proven that they didn’t really need the deal after all. The publicity of just being on Shark Tank was enough to have sales pouring in. They sold the same amount of product they would in a month, in 2 days after Shark Tank aired. Courses all over are calling on the guys to get FlingGolf offered there. Sales are projected to reach over $1 million in 2022.
In the summer of 2022, FlingGolf is offered at over 15k courses and more than 34k worldwide.

Founder of FlingGolf, Alex Van Alen is going strong with his business. He is from Amesbury, Massachusetts and according to his LinkedIn profile, he has been the founder/CEO since April 2012. On his page, he points out that the flingstick is indeed patented. Earlier in his career, he worked as a conservation real estate consultant and an executive director of Essex County Trail Association for 3 years before starting his newest business.
His partner John Pruellage does not appear to have a LinkedIn profile. However, according to their official website we learn that John has 20 years of leadership experience with startups in the television advertising technology sector.
John always had a passion for being out on the golf course and discover golf hacks. When FlingGolf was introduced to him, it sparked his love of the game all over again. When he isn’t on the golf course, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and rescue pups.
