The GAC App: Everything You Need to Know

Great American Country channel came out with a bang in the holiday season of 2021. Over the time they have grown but also changed their name including adding the new GAC app. Now Great American Country has turned into two channels, Great American Family and GAC Living.

The channel division and new names will officially change August 20th. All housed under the Great American Media master brand this will also include Great American Adventures and Great American Community, the new GAC App.

Update on Great American Community App – September 26, 2022

It looks like there have been some technical difficulties with the Great American Community App. When we and others tried to access the GAC app on the Google Play Store we saw this message with a line saying “This is not available in your country.” We are currently in the United States.

How can you watch The Great American Community Content?

Don’t worry, in the meantime, while they figure out the issues with the app, you can visit their website to see videos from all the talent. Here are some of our favorites:

The website says you can find the app on Amazon FireTV, AppleTV, and Roku. So far we tested it on AmazonFireTV and Roku, it unfortunately didn’t work for us. We will keep updating.

When will the GAC Community App Be Available to the Public?

According to the press release, the new GAC Community app will be available on September 26, 2022.

Will GAC Come Out with a New App?

The executive team at GAC Media understands the importance of digital alongside television/streaming. According to Bill Abbott, President and CEO of GAC Media, LLC, “As the company expands across different media verticals, renaming our linear networks Great American Family and Great American Living better reflects our vision for each brand and firmly aligns the company under our new Great American Media umbrella.”

The new digital arm of GAC Media is called “GAC Community” coming in the form of an app. You will be able to download the app via the app store. It hasn’t been announced if this app will only be on iPhones or both iPhones and Androids.

The GAC Community app will be available in September according to those close with the channel .

What type of content will be on the GAC Community app?

This digital direct-to-consumer app will be available in September 2022 and one of the exciting parts of this new app will be the return of the beloved cast from Hallmark’s “Home and Family Show.”

You can expect to see content on cooking, fashion, lifestyle, gardening, pets, parenting, DIY, relationships, philanthropy, fitness, wellness and devotions, plus more.

15 Short Form Content Shows for the GAC Community App

Show #1: “The Modern Mom with Debbie Matenopoulos.” This show will share delicious and easy recipes, fashion and beauty advice plus life tips and tricks.

When to tune in? All new episodes every Monday – Friday.

Show #2: “Giving & Caring with Larissa Wohl” This show will be a series of weekly animal adoptions, shelter spotlights, and estraordinary people.

When to tune in? All new episodes Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
