American Idol airs its last round of auditions this week. One new contestant who will take the stage is Danny Falco. We’ve got five facts on the American Idol hopeful for you below. So, keep reading to learn more about Danny.
Get to Know Danny Falco
1) Danny Falco’s full name is Daniel Gregory Falco. He’s 28 years old from Taunton, Massachusetts.
Bonus Fact: He works at Zales, and is part owner of a pet store. He owns Mutt Waggin with his husband, Andy.
2) He is a singer and actor. Danny says he’s been singing and acting since he was 5 years old. He’s been in 15 plays over the years.
3) American Idol is not his first singing competition show. In 2012, he auditioned for X Factor. He actually had his first shot at Idol when he was 16, but unfortunately, he had a throat issue that prevented his voice from being where it needed to be. Now, this is his second chance. It’s always been a dream of his to be on Idol, according to the Taunton Daily Gazette.
Bonus Fact: Some of his favorite Idol contestants are Lisa Jackson and Adam Lambert.
4) While on X Factor, he got close with fellow contestants Fifth Harmony. He remains good friends with them.
5) He’s already had experience with performing. Falco was a part of the boy band Kik-It for 5 years. Coincidentally, he actually met fellow American Idol contestant Colin Jamieson there way back when! The two are best friends now. The band opened for artists like Victoria Justice and Kesha.
