5 Facts on Tough Tie from Shark Tank

  • by

After both becoming new dads, two friends from Arizona realized that their normal neckties did not withstand the demands on fatherhood. So, they invented a stronger, more durable necktie: the Tough Tie. Keep reading below to find out more about this product before its debut on ABC’s Shark Tank this week.

1) The Tough Tie was invented by Kevin Shoemaker and Skylar Bennett. These two guys wanted to create a tough, yet stylish necktie that would be suitable for dads and dudes everywhere.

2) One cool thing about these ties is that you can actually wash them in the washing machine, like you would your other clothing items. How convenient is that?

3) For only being in business for about 5 years now, Kevin and Skylar’s social media presence is very strong. The company’s Instagram account has over 17,000 followers, and between followers and likes on Facebook, they’ve got over 3,000.

4) Skylar and Kevin have even managed to expand their product line since their original Tough Tie. Their official brand is now called Tough Apparel, and they have belts, face masks, socks, and even wedding items!

5) Their unique designs and knack for quality are two of the reasons why their customers have given them 5-star ratings. Hopefully they’ll appeal to the sharks sense of style too!

You can see Kevin and Skylar, along with their product The Tough Tie on ABC’s Shark Tank this Friday, May 8, at 8 PM ET/PT.
